A jury found Frankie Lee Brown guilty of first-degree battery. His sole point on appeal is that the circuit court erred by denying his directed-verdict motion. The evidence that Brown stabbed the victim in the chest is substantial evidence to support the jury's verdict that he caused serious injury to the victim under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life.
