Charges against appellant Lewis Turner and his son, Rickey, were filed when marijuana was found growing on Lewis's farm. The cases against each of them for the offenses of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were consolidated and tried to a single jury on September 12-14, 2012, which after deliberation subsequently reported an impasse.
