In August 2012, appellant Devontae Rivers entered a plea of guilty in the Mississippi County Circuit Court, Chickasawba District, to multiple felony offenses for which he was sentenced to an aggregate term of 420 months' imprisonment. On February 5, 2013, 169 days after the judgment was entered, appellant filed in the trial court a pro se petition for writ of habeas corpus and a pro se motion to rescind the plea agreement that he entered when he pled guilty...
