A Hot Spring County jury convicted appellant Jeremy McClard of first-degree murder and sentenced him to forty years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. McClard appeals that conviction, arguing that there was insufficient evidence of the requisite intent to support a first-degree murder conviction and that the trial court erred in denying his motion for a mistrial during the sentencing phase of the trial.
