Appellant Matthew Hammonds was convicted by a jury of abuse of a corpse and was sentenced to six years in prison. Mr. Hammonds was found to have abused the corpse of his deceased wife, who died of a cocaine overdose in their home on May 13, 2008. On appeal, Mr. Hammonds raises two arguments. He challenges the trial court's decision to give jury instruction AMCI 2d 7113, arguing that the trial court instead should have given his proffered instruction...
