In February 2007, Robert Chandler, a postman, was attacked by a Rottweiler owned by Kenneth Cain when Chandler delivered mail to Cain's residence, which was a rental property owned by Aaron Brian Fielder. In July 2008, Chandler sued Fielder and several fictitiously named parties, alleging that Fielder should be held responsible for his injuries because Fielder had allowed Cain to keep a dangerous dog on Fielder's premises.
