The appellant, James Darnell Humphrey, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery in the first degree, see § 13A-8-41, Ala.Code 1975, and one count of robbery in the third degree, see § 13A-8-43. The Madison Circuit Court sentenced Humphrey to 20 years' imprisonment for the first-degree-robbery conviction and to 10 years' imprisonment for the third-degree-robbery conviction, those sentences to be served concurrently.
