These appeals arise out of a tort action brought in the Jefferson Circuit Court by the plaintiff, Jimmie Wayne Loats, Jr., against the defendant, Jamie Shree Melvin, alleging that Loats had been injured in an automobile collision that was attributable to Melvin's negligence or wantonness.
