The appellant, Jerry Richard Perkins, was convicted of third-degree domestic violence based on harassment, a violation of § 13A-6-132, Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced him to serve a term of one year in the county jail, but split the sentence and ordered him to serve twenty days followed by two years on probation.
