This mandamus proceeding arises out of a custody dispute currently pending in the Winston Juvenile Court. In April 2008, J.A.H. ("the mother"), an Alabama resident who is the mother of E.C.H., a minor child born in June 2006 ("the child"), filed a civil action in the juvenile court seeking an award of custody of the child. On June 13, 2008, the juvenile court entered an interlocutory order granting pendente lite custody of the child to the mother....
