Aldridge Creek, located in the City of Huntsville ("the City"), drains an area of approximately 21.7 square miles. In the early morning hours of June 28, 1999, the Aldridge Creek area experienced extraordinarily heavy rainfall totaling approximately six and one-half inches in just six hours.
