On November 14, 2004, near Craig, Alaska, hunters found the body of Lauri Waterman. Carl (Doc) Waterman, Lauri's husband, and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Rachelle, were out of town for several days, returning home to Craig on the afternoon of November 14, 2004.
