James Harmon was convicted of second-degree murder and first-degree sexual assault for his attack on M.W. in Tenakee Springs in March 2003. On appeal, Harmon challenges his convictions on two grounds. First, he argues that his trial should not have been held in Juneau because of the extensive pre-trial publicity surrounding M.W.'s death and, one year later, Harmon's arrest and the procedural events leading up to his trial...
