Opinion by Justice FITZGERALD.

Dean Michael Davis appeals eight convictions for various drug-possession offenses. Initially, appellant was charged with six offenses, to which he pleaded guilty, and the trial court deferred adjudication of guilt, placed appellant on community supervision for eight years, and assessed a $1000 fine in each case.
