Appellant H. Glenn Gunter sued appellees Empire Pipeline Corporation, Empire Exploration, L.P., and Empire Exploration Corporation (collectively "Empire"). The parties signed a mediated settlement agreement, but Gunter later filed a motion to invalidate the settlement.
