Introduction

A jury convicted Lenard Cushshon (Defendant) of possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility in violation of section 221.111, RSMo 2000. The trial court sentenced him as a prior and persistent offender to five years' imprisonment. Defendant appeals his conviction, contending the trial court erred in overruling his motion for judgment of acquittal because there is insufficient evidence to support his conviction...
