OPINION

SULLIVAN, Judge.

Appellant, Larry Lollar ("Father"), challenges the trial court's dismissal of his petition for custody of his minor child, L.H. Father presents three issues for our review, one of which we find dispositive, whether Michelle Hammes ("Mother") consented to the court's exercise of jurisdiction to decide the matter of custody of L.H.
