Plaintiffs Michael and Suzie Baker borrowed $937,500 in 2006 and secured the loan with a mortgage on their house. They defaulted on their payments and the mortgage was foreclosed. The present case is the latest in a series of lawsuits through which the plaintiffs have attempted to stave off eviction, all the while living in the house rent free for the past 5-1/2 years.
