Ophelia De'Lonta, a Virginia inmate proceeding pro se, has filed a civil rights action, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, alleging violation of her rights under the Eighth Amendment, as well as state law tort claims of assault and battery pursuant to supplemental jurisdiction.1 Plaintiff has applied to proceed in forma pauperis in this action.
