The Preble's meadow jumping mouse (Zapus hudsonius preblei) ("Preble's") is a small rodent endemic to the foothills of southeastern Wyoming and the eastern edge of the Front Range in Colorado. This subspecies of meadow jumping mouse has a very long tail, large hind feet adapted for jumping, and a dark stripe running down its back of otherwise gray to orangebrown fur.
