In March 2001, petitioner was convicted of two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree and sentenced as a second violent felony offender to concurrent prison terms of five years followed by five years of postrelease supervision. Petitioner was released in June 2005 and began serving his period of postrelease supervision subject to various conditions. In May 2006, petitioner, among other things, tampered with his monitoring device...
