On January 23, 2007, the appellant was charged by bill of information with one count of violating La. R.S. 14:62, relative to simple burglary. He entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment on January 29, 2007. On March 13, 2007, a six person jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged. On October 29, 2007, the appellant was found to be a second felony offender and sentenced to six years in the custody of the Louisiana Department of Corrections...
