OPINION

BENCH, Judge:

¶ 1 Salt Lake City (the City) appeals the district court's dismissal of charges against Defendant Gregory William Weiner. The City claims that the district court erroneously concluded that the creation of the Salt Lake City Justice Court divested the Third District Court of its original jurisdiction over Defendant's alleged class B misdemeanors.
