Defendant, Sterling Johnson, was convicted of resisting arrest (720 ILCS 5/31-1 (West 2006)) and escape (720 ILCS 5/31-6 (West 2006)). On appeal, defendant claims that the State failed to prove him guilty of escape, that he is entitled to an additional day credit for presentence custody, and that he was deprived of the effective assistance of counsel by his attorney's failure to file a motion to withdraw his bond...
