In 2003, Rickey Gray (decedent), husband of Kimlen Dyess Gray (plaintiff), died following complications from a laparoscopic abdominal procedure performed by Dr. Benjamin G. Allen (defendant Allen) and Dr. Charles A. Crumley (defendant Crumley).
