In this personal injury suit, Jessica Goldfinch obtained a judgment by default against United Cabs, Inc. ("United Cabs"). The trial court denied United Cabs' motion for new trial. This suspensive appeal followed. For the reasons which follow, we reverse the trial court and remand the matter for a new trial.
