The defendant entered a guilty plea to the charge of vehicular homicide. The defendant was subsequently sentenced to thirty years at hard labor, all but eighteen years suspended. The first five years of this sentence is to be served without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Upon release, the defendant will be on supervised probation with special conditions for five years. He was ordered to make restitution to the victim's family...
