Appellant Stanley Smiles was convicted of theft of property valued between $1,500 and $20,000 and sentenced to fifteen months' confinement. In three issues, appellant challenges the legal and factual sufficiency of the evidence to prove the value of the stolen property. For the reasons discussed below, we hold that the evidence is legally insufficient to sustain a conviction for felony theft. We therefore reverse appellant...
