In June 2002, appellee, Gary Nowlin, purchased an insurance policy from appellant, Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, for a house that he owned in Chidester, Arkansas. The house was subsequently destroyed by fire, and appellee filed his claim with appellant. When the claim was denied, appellee filed his complaint against the insurance company.
