STATEMENT OF THE CASE

James Helton, Jr. was convicted of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, as a Class A felony, pursuant to a guilty plea. Helton subsequently petitioned for post-conviction relief, which the post-conviction court denied. On appeal, he presents a single issue for our review, namely, whether he was denied the effective assistance of trial counsel. We hold that Helton's trial counsel was ineffective...
