This is a family law dispute involving modification of permanent alimony. Plaintiff Susan Carroll Harris ("plaintiff-wife"), and defendant Leslie Bailey Harris ("defendanthusband"), were married on 10 June 1973 and divorced on 12 February 2003. The parties have two children born of the marriage; however, at the time of the divorce, only one child, Sarah Harris ("Sarah") was a minor child.
