Following a bench trial, defendant Gregory McNulty was convicted of possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to an extended term of four years' imprisonment based upon his criminal record. On appeal, defendant does not challenge his conviction, but contends that the trial court erred at sentencing when it failed to advise him that he was eligible for an evaluation by a substance abuse treatment...
