Following a jury trial, Jesus Zapata was convicted of two counts of child molestation and one count of sexual battery. Zapata filed a motion for new trial, which was denied by the trial court. He now appeals, alleging ineffective assistance of counsel in that his trial counsel moved for a directed verdict at the close of the State's evidence, thereby allowing the trial court to reopen the evidence and enable the State to introduce additional evidence...
