A jury convicted Robert Bartlett of the misdemeanor offense of assault based on evidence that he punched a woman in the mouth, breaking her upper jaw and dislocating teeth, during an altercation at the 2004 Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally. The trial court assessed punishment at one year's imprisonment and a $2,000 fine, but suspended imposition of the sentence and placed Bartlett on community supervision for two...
