Plaintiff Ronald Newman has sued Borders, Inc. and Borders Group, Inc. (collectively "Borders"), alleging that while he was shopping in a Borders bookstore, racially discriminatory actions by Borders employees deprived him of his right to make a contract in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1981. He also brings a common law claim against Borders for negligent supervision of its employees...
