In this case, we must decide whether a defendant accused of sexual abuse of his minor niece is entitled to a new trial where the trial court admitted evidence of a prior sexual assault involving the same victim. In addition, the defendant claims that he was denied effective assistance of counsel as a result of his attorney's failure to object to several jury instructions.
