Appellant Ricardo Lacey was indicted for several offenses including distribution of cocaine base and theft. During the trial proceedings he moved the court for judgment of acquittal on the theft charge. The court denied the motion. He was subsequently convicted of, inter alia, the charges of theft and distribution of cocaine base, the latter for which he was sentenced to...
