This lawsuit arises from a business partnership gone sour. Plaintiff-appellee Combined Energies ("CE") filed suit in Maine federal district court against Defendant-appellant CCI, Inc. ("CCI"), alleging various contract and tort claims related to what CE describes as a raid on CE's work-force subsequent to a failed take-over attempt by its erstwhile business partner CCI.
