Appellant, Robert James, appeals from a judgment convicting him for the offense of being a felon in possession of a firearm for which he was sentenced to ten years in prison and a $1,000 fine. See TEX. PEN. CODE ANN. § 46.04(a)(1) (Vernon 2007). Appellant pleaded not guilty and not true to a punishment enhancement paragraph.
