Rubye Mangum, as executrix of the estate of LaVada Oakes and as beneficiary of her will, sued Trent and Donny Turner to rescind three deeds from Oakes and her deceased husband to the Turners. The parties' attorneys orally agreed to settle Mangum's claims for $104,000, with the Turners paying Mangum $52,000 and Mangum receiving $52,000 from a fund in which royalty payments were being...
