This interlocutory appeal from the municipal court requires this court to construe the motor vehicle code provision that commands drivers to maintain a lane "as nearly as practicable" and to change lanes safely. N.J.S.A. 39:4-88(b). The municipal court denied defendant's motion to suppress the fruits of an investigatory traffic stop that the officer conducted after determining that the driver had failed to maintain a lane.
