Respondent J.J., Jr. was convicted of rape in the first degree and sexual abuse in the first degree on October 16, 1981 and concurrent sentences of 10 to 20 years and 3½ to 7 years were imposed on November 16, 1981.

Respondent's 1981 convictions arose out of his being found guilty after a jury trial for the rape and sexual abuse of a 19-year-old female...
