Jerome A. Murray appeals his conviction of and sentence for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (720 ILCS 570/401 (d) (West 2004)). He contends that his conviction should be vacated and the case dismissed because he was denied his statutory right to a speedy trial (725 ILCS 5/103-5(a) (West 2004)) and that his trial counsel was ineffective for failing to raise the issue in a motion to discharge...
