In March 2002, a jury convicted defendant, Perry Alberts, of 11 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault. In May 2002, the trial court sentenced him to 111 years in prison. On direct appeal, this court affirmed the majority of defendant's convictions and sentences, reversing one and vacating the corresponding sentence on the basis of the one-act, one-crime...
