The defendant, John Slater, appeals from the judgment of the Appellate Court, affirming the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70(a)(1)1 and kidnapping in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-92(a)(2)(B).2 State v. Slater, 98 Conn.App. 288
