Bew, was convicted in the circuit court of Will County of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver in violation of section 5(g) of the Cannabis Control Act (720 ILCS 550/5(g) (West 2002)) and sentenced to six years in prison. Defendant appealed her conviction, claiming that trial counsel was ineffective...
