In June 2006, the trial court found defendant, Robert P. Young, guilty of criminal drug conspiracy (720 ILCS 570/405.1 (West 2006)) and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams of a substance containing cocaine) (720 ILCS 570/401(a)(2)(A) (West 2006)). After the court found him guilty, defendant sent the court a letter, which stated defendant's trial counsel failed...
