Kendrick Darney Hall was charged with armed robbery with a firearm, La. R.S. 14:64 and 64.3 ("Count 1"), and first degree robbery, R.S. 14:64.1 ("Count 2"), arising from separate incidents involving the same victim. After a 12-member jury found him guilty as charged on both counts, the state charged him as a fourth felony offender on Count 1. Finding him guilty as charged, the district court sentenced him to 99 years at hard labor without benefits as a fourth...
