Jay T. Hill pleaded guilty to violating 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1) for being a felon in possession of a firearm. As a condition of his plea agreement, Hill reserved the right to appeal whether his underlying Kansas conviction for criminal possession of a firearm was a qualifying felony conviction under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1).
