¶1. Kerry Louis Morgan was convicted of burglary and the aggravated assault of a police officer on January 29, 2004, by the Circuit Court of Yalobusha County. He was sentenced to thirty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) but placed under a term of twenty-eight years and eleven months of post-release supervision.
